This is a 7 night tour based in a beautiful guest house near Lourdes. During this week we aim to show you the Pyrenees from a new angle. Our walks are away from the usual tourist hotspots and well frequented and documented trails, and we head instead for lesser known paths that offer the same variety of outstanding scenery without the crowds.

You will cover a wide and varied area during this week, and see diverse and fascinating scenery. Subject to weather conditions, we aim to cover a variety of treks, including:

A valley to valley trek,
Forest and River treks,
Ridge walks,
Round walks to peaks that offer incredible views

There will be a two day expedition on the trek, when you will stay at a mountain auberge for a night, where twin bedrooms and an evening meal will be provided.

We walk at a relaxed pace to enable us to enjoy the scenery and look at the wildlife. Although we do not venture above 2000 metres we still recommend that you have some mountain walking experience. This tour is not for those looking to ‘bag peaks’, but for people wanting to see the immense beauty of the central French Pyrenees without having to battle for the best spot to get a photo! Look out for ‘hidden mountains’, colourful local lizards and scenery that has inspired films.

At the end of each day (except on the overnight expedition) we return to our comfortable and welcoming accommodation for a 4 course meal and a chance to relax and compare notes.
